advice for reach of high shelf

are for the maximum height of a shelf to which children can just
reach to pick up or place an item. They may not be able to see the
full depth of the shelf. |

children in key stage 1

| The maximum height of high
reach shelf should not be greater than 1140mm. |
for
children in key stage 2
|
| The maximum height of high
reach shelf should not be greater than 1340mm. |
for
children at primary school
|
| If it is not possible to
have separate classrooms for Keystage 1 and Keystage 2 children (ie
if they are likely to use the same classrooms), the maximum height
of high reach shelf should not be greater than 1140mm. |
for
children in key stage 3

| The maximum height of high
reach shelf should not be greater than 1580mm. |
for
children in key stage 4

| The maximum height of high
reach shelf should not be greater than 1710mm. |

children at secondary school
