for children in foundation
The height of washbasin should be 500mm for children at Nursery.
for children in key stage 1
The height of washbasin should be 500mm for children at Key stage 1.
for children in key stage 2
The height of washbasin should be 700mm for children at Key stage 2.
for children at primary school
option one
  If children in Key stages 1 and 2 use separate washrooms, follow instructions for Key stages 1 and 2.
option two
  Half of washbasins shall be at 550mm high and half of them shall be at 700mm high.
option three
  The height of wash basin should be set at 670mm.
implications
  Half of children may find the basin slightly too low. It is better to have the basins lower than higher, as the younger children using higher basins can experience problems with reaching to taps, and water can run down their forearms to their elbows.
for children in key stage 3
The height of washbasin should be 800mm for children at Key stage 3.
for children in key stage 4
The height of washbasin should be 850mm for children at Key stage 3.
for children at secondary school
option one
  The height of washbasin should be set at 800mm.
implications
